I was born in Brno/ CSSR.
In Summer 1969, one year after the invasion by troups of the Warsaw Pact in Summer !968, my mother, my brother and I fled to West-Germany, where I grew up.
After short studies of art history I learned the craft of gilding (working with gold-leaves) in the renowned "Bilderrahmen Renz" company in Stuttgart.
Then I had my own Atelier in Cologne where for several years I was restoring mainly fassades of ancient roundabouts, but also smaller objects. The work included, wood -carving, painting of landscapes and others, repairing the mechanism of the figurines and of course gilding.
After marrying my Japanese husband, I moved to Tokyo.
My first phase of painting had been a period of about 3 years before I moved to Japan.
My mentor was Rudolf Kortokrax. ( Oskar Kokoschka`s assistant at his "School of Vision" in Salzburg. )
In 2013 I had the opportunity to participate at the Summer Academy of the Austrian painter Wolf Werdigier in Venice, where I could reconnect with my joy of painting.
Most recently I also started building my own frames to fit my paintings and drawings ....
My work can now be found in private collections and museums in Japan, Germany , Canada and Italy.
