Why do I call my exhibition "Encounters"?
People often tell me that I should choose themes for my paintings/drawings so the viewer would
have a "clue".
And for short time I caved in and wrang out of myself names and titles to show the path which
should be taken ....
After another discussion with a friend I found ground again for my thoughts and beliefs
My paintings are not ment to give advice, to point in a direction ...
They are the materialisations of encounters between the "Dasha of that moment" with the "otherperson(s) of that moment" .... the "enviroment of that moment"
Showing my work to others is an invitation
An invitation to an encounter between the individuality of the viewing person and the product of a past moment in my life
I hope to offer a sensual challenge to connect, to re-live, to understand,
to raise questions ..... to unleash the own imagination, the own creativity .....
I love best to see the sparkle of creativity in people` s eyes when they look at my paintings
to see their own energy and hopeful anticipation
The viewer is challenged to use his senses to see - and possibly physically feel -
in a world in which the focus is quite often only on intellect and form, and that is why I see myself as a representative of "New Sensuality" Dasha 2013

" I`m too shy to look at it, because it`s too real. You bring the elements of heat and of physical realities to the foreground, and just the right amount of what is not necessary is left to imagination.
.....
Wow, these are almost photographic! It`s like you took a picture, and then subtracted nuance, but left the main points, and the important aspects of expression, and then did broad strokes for the emotion and movement of the situation. You even use pure black. An interesting mixture I`ve never seen before!"
